Taylor Made Music began as a program for children and adults of all abilities by Lisa Taylor, a Board Certified Music Therapist. She graduated from Chapman University, worked with children on the Autism Spectrum for 12 years in Orange County, moved to Hawaii for 9 years with her husband and raised a child while teaching in the public/private schools on the Big Island. She founded Ānuenue Children's Chorus and Glee Club and musically directed several shows at the Historic Palace Theater in Hilo. She now works with her husband (bass, jazz, and rock&roll guitar player) and teenager (singer, ukulele, guitar and recorder player) from their studio in Long Beach, California.
Lisa teaches classical, jazz, and musical theatre style singing as well as piano, folk-style guitar picking, ukulele, and recorder. In addition to teaching, the family also performs together at events, community theatre, and in South Side Jazz; music from the golden era. Music is like a second language that gets passed down through generations. We’d love to help bring music into your home or event!
